JACKSON, Tenn. – James Ralph Neal, 77, of Jackson, Tenn., died Monday, May 17, 2021, at his home. Born April 14, 1944, in South Carrollton. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Bandy Brothers. Mr. Neal always put family first. He loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a talented woodworker, building tables, chairs, and cribs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Harriet Neal, Sr.; brother David Lee Neal; sisters Sue Mae Cunningham, Connie Neal, Dorothy Neal, and Barbara Neal.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jennifer Neal (Micheal) of Owensboro and Jessica Neal of Jackson, Tenn.; grandchildren Devon, Angel, Jarede, Jacob, Alexis, Jonah, Jada, and Jordyn; great-grandchildren Dean and Aurora; brothers Matt Neal, Harry Neal, and Tony (Melissa) Neal; sisters Reba (Gary) Oldham, Mary Jo (Danny) Lynch, and Roberta Lynn Zemo; former spouse Cindy Leachman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Mike Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to James Neal Memorial Fund, c/o Tucker Funeral Home, P.O.
