Corrinna Jo Hodges of Raleigh, N.C. left us on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Born in Greenville, she moved to Tennessee as a teenager. She loved fiercely and often sought the downtrodden on whom to bestow that love. She guided those she loved to Jesus through word and deed.
After high school she didn’t take a semester off from college to find herself or travel, Corrinna took a semester off for missions. She was so moved by a week-long mission trip to Raleigh in 2001, she left home to go back and work with the children and families she met. When the semester ended, she stayed and made Raleigh her home. Her compassion for children was overwhelming. Literally hundreds of children have been blessed through their relationship.
To those lucky enough to be near her, she was a fun-loving curator of inside jokes and hushed asides. Her passion for all things Christmas was unmatched. From classic carols and holiday movies to trees kept decorated long past the season, she cherished every aspect of Christmas.
Survivors include her parents Tom and Rose Ann Hodges; brothers Robin (Maureen), Glendon (Janet), and Casey (Angie); nieces and nephews Jon, Maggie, Eden, and Asher. The family will receive friends from 5-8:30 p.m. on Friday April 26, 2024 at 7709 Westland Drive, Knoxville, Tenn.
