DRAKESBORO – Ella Kate Kirby, 94, of Drakesboro, died Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born January 22, 1927, in Montgomery, Ala. She was a homemaker and member of Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lincoln Kirby; daughter Bertha Brown and son Robert Ray Kirby.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Kemper and Ella Sue Tolle; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be private with Bro. Greg Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Highway Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
