Barbara Nell Johnston, 84, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born August 1, 1936 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of the late James Gray and Lucille Stanley Miller. She was a bookkeeper for F.M. Puryear and a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years Lloyd Johnston of Greenville; daughter Valerie Cash of Greenville; son Mark Johnston of Greenville; daughter Lisa (Sherman) Yee of Mill Valley, California; grandchildren, Amber Cash, Jared Cash, Travis Yee, Katherine Yee; great grandson, Lux Cash-Leach; half-brother, Danny Gray of Crofton; half-sisters, Hazel Jordan of Crofton and Betty Lou Jowder of Greenville and step-brother, Hubert Jessup of Greenville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. John Galyen officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Depoy. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 26 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
