David Neal Puryear, 73, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Madisonville Health and Rehabilitation. Born December 13, 1947 in Muhlenberg County to the late Vivian Barnes and Felix Puryear Jr. David was retired from the Green River Correctional Facility where he worked as a Corrections Officer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Puryear and his brother, Bradford Puryear.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Faye Wilkins Puryear; his children, Stacy (Charlie) Skaggs and Nichole (Darrin) Albro; grandchildren, Matt (Marina) Skaggs, Katie (Wil) Mann and Jacob Baker; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Skaggs and Sawyer Mann and his siblings, Vickie Puryear and Felix (Janell) Puryear, III.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in the fall of 2021. The family would like to thank the staff at Pennyrile Personal Care Home and Madisonville Health and Rehab for the care and comfort they provided during this time.
