DRAKESBORO – Waymon Levon Knight, Sr., of Drakesboro, died Sunday, August, 21, 2022, at 7:52 p.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born August 3, 1948 in Muhlenberg County, he was employed as an Iron Worker for the Local 601 in Charleston, S.C. and as a Gas Operator for Drakesboro Gas. He was a member of the Hazel Creek Masonic Lodge 842, and was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Stormie Summer Knight; parents, Verner and Lula Knight; two sisters, Hilda Knight and Jean Knight; and brothers, Jerry Knight, Jackie Knight, and Bobby Knight.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Morehead Knight; four children, Jennifer (Ben) Kramer of Drakesboro, Devonna (Eddie) Tooley of Central City, Waymon (Kimberly) Knight, Jr. of Drakesboro, and Amanda “Minnie” (Jeff) Ezell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jordan Kramer of Drakesboro, Malachi (Misty) Kramer of Drakesboro, Matthew (Audrey) Kramer of Sacramento, Noah Tooley of Central City, Hunter Knight of Drakesboro, Megan Ezell of Chattanooga, Tenn., Morgan Ezell, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mahala Ezell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday August 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home in Beechmont, with Brother Tyler Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery.
