GREENVILLE – Tony Dean Johnson, 59, of Powderly, died Monday, May 6, 2024 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. Born in Greenville July 6, 1964, the son of the late Lasley Ander (L.A.) Johnson and Neveline McIntosh Johnson. He was a member of Lone Star General Baptist Church and was a truck driver all of his life. He loved playing drums and was a Star Wars fanatic.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Ruby Rickard officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Greenville.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Johnson of Greenville, Jeremy (Ashlee) Johnson of Greenville; four grandchildren —Maddison Johnson, Harleen Johnson, Penelope Johnson, Waverly Johnson; three brothers,Gary (Donna) Johnson of Owensboro, Danny (Lana) Johnson of Greenville, and Donnie (Cindy) Johnson of Greenville; two sisters,Judy Watts of Greenville, KY, and Debbie (Mark) Haliday of Central City,
Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 until time of funeral at 3:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
