SACRAMENTO – Hugh Elmore Osborne, 97, of Sacramento, died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:11 p.m. at Marka Nursing Home in Mascoutah, Ill.. Born September 4, 1926, in Hanson, Ky. He was a retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Co., and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Osborne; and parents, Ernest and Pearl Osborne.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Son of O’Fallon, ILL.; son, Willis Osborne; threee grandchildren; and sister, Laverne McCain.
Graveside funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen, with Mack Scott officiating. Burial to follow. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel on Sacramento. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
