Mrs. Patricia Wix “Pat” Rippy, age 71, of Franklin, Ky., passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 5:48 a.m. at her residence.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, visitation will continue on Monday, May 13th, 2024 from 6:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson County, Ky.
Born on September 1, 1952 in Portland, Tenn., to the late James Allen Wix and the late Elanior (Clending) Wix. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Rippy, Sr.; two children, Brenda Wix and Donna Wix; a grandson, Justin Warren; and six siblings, James W. Wix, Homer Wix, Billy Joe Wix, Charlotte Pitcock, Shirley Slack, Jimmy Davis Wix.
Survivors include her four children, Lola Vanbuskirk (Kevin Key) of Portland, Tenn., Roy Lee Rippy, Jr. (Melissa) of Franklin, Ky., James Quinton Rippy (Michelle) of Franklin, KYy. Dee Anna Eades (Michael Tanner) of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, Sue Ann Vanbuskirk, Tracy Vanbuskirk, Ryan Rippy, Megan Shaffer, Dustin Rippy, Teresa Rippy, Bailey Rippy, Jaime Ann Rippy, Jennifer Rippy, Marcus Peyton Eades; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Gertie Silva, Harlen Wix, Rickey Wix; several nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a retired custodian of Franklin-Simpson County Schools. She enjoyed “being the boss”, gardening, horse racing, scratch off lottery tickets.
