CENTRAL CITY – Jasper Lee “J.L.” Render, Jr., 98, of Central City, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. Born February 28, 1923, in Muhlenberg County, he worked for the State Highway Department, and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Mittie K. Render; and wife Juanita Render.
Survivors include his daughter, Denice Price-Jones of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren; special cousins and a host of cousins and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, a 12:00 p.m. at West End Cemetery in Greenville, with Rev. Otis Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday after 9:30 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
