Lexington-Willie Mae Tyler, 91 , formerly of Central City, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at her residence in Lexington. The Muhlenberg County native was a member of Victory Temple in Central City. She loved her family, cooking, and was previously employed at Sparks Nursing Center & Assisted Living in Central City. She was preceded in death by both parents, George and Victoria Nealy and her husband, Willie Tyler, Jr. in 1999.
Survivors include sons, Clarence (Linda) Parker of Greenville, Jeffery (Gidget) Tyler, of Lexington and Roy (Brandee) Tyler of Owensboro; daughters, Mary James of Cleveland, Ohio and Doris Drake of Greenville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private Services are at 10:00, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. John Lee III, Eulogist. Visitation from 9-10 at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Lester Chapel Cemetery in Guthrie. Bibbs Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends attending the visitation or funeral service shall be within current health and safety directives/guidelines/ social distancing. Those in attendance are required to wear appropriate protective masks throughout the duration of all services.
