BREMEN – Dallas “Buck” Gilbert, 90, of Bremen, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born April 3, 1930, in LeJunior, Ky. He was a heavy equipment operator for Peabody Star Coal Mines. He served in the U.S. Army and was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Nellie Gilbert.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Wilson Gilbert; daughter Vicky Whittinghill of Anna, Ill.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 12, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate.
