William Michael Simpkins, 74, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Heartford House of Owensboro. Born July 18, 1949 in Nashville, to the late William Woodrow Simpkins and Mary Lois Demonbreun. He was a retired truck driver and worked for Crestline Plastics. He loved shooting guns and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Sandra Binkley, and one grandson Ken Crossland.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Linda Simpkins of Greenville; two daughters Rhonda (Kenny) Crossland of Ashland City, Tenn. and Jenni (Larry) Shadowen of Owensboro; three grandchildren Hayley Crossland, Tabor Shadowen, and Lexi Shadowen; two great grandchildren Knox Crossland, and Aubriella Crossland; three sisters Connie (Keith) Thomas of Mount Washington, Ky., Peggy (Kemmy) Shores of Ashland City, Tenn. and Vicky (Gary) Williams of Ashland City, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Bro. Larry Shadowen officiating, assisted by Mr. Chris Rowe. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Clay Kentucky. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 10 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
