BELTON – Cathy Schlessman, 67, of Belton, passed away at 9:47 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her residence. Born May 25, 1956 in Nashville, Tenn.. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked as a Graphic Artist. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and astronomy. She loved her dogs, was the co-leader of RCIA at her church, and was very active in Cursillo for decades. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Byerley; and brothers, Joseph Byerley, and Timothy Byerley.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Schlessman; and son, Charlie Stamps of Louisville.
Funeral/Mass Services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City with Father John Ighacho officiating and Deacon Don Adams assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the church with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be on Tuesday at the church at 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
