CENTRAL CITY –

Tavish Crutcher  35, of Central City, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 in Central City.  Born June 22, 1988 in Owensboro to William Jeffrey and Nancy Charlene Geary Crutcher.  Tavish’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him throughout his 35 years.

His journey began as the cherished son of Charlie and Jeff Crutcher of Moorman.  From his early days, Tavish displayed a spirit of determination and joy.  A 2006 graduate of the former Muhlenberg North High School, he carried his dedication to excellence into his professional life.  Tavish was an employee at Sommers Lumber Company, where he worked diligently as a loader operator.  His work ethic and commitment to his colleagues were evident in all he did.

Tavish was a beacon of love and loyalty to his family, including his nephews, Malachi and Canyon as well as his niece, Charlee.  His unwavering support and infectious humor brought immeasurable joy to their lives.  Tavish’s presence was a source of comfort and happiness, and his ability to make people laugh was one of his most enduring qualities.

Tavish’s kind and generous spirit extended beyond his immediate circle.  He was known for his golden heart and his desire to help those in need.  His belief in the goodness of people and his optimism were characteristics that drew others to him.  Tavish’s friends could always count on him to be there for them, no matter the circumstance.

Tavish found solace and pleasure in fishing, being outdoors and weightlifting, often sharing these pastimes with his friends and family.  He was also a member of Powers Chapel General Baptist Church.

As we bid farewell to Tavish, we remember a man who lived life fully, with a heart open to all.  His legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.  Tavish’s memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the light of his spirit brightened every path he walked.
May his story be a reminder to us all to live with compassion, to laugh often, and to love without reservation.  Tavish’s spirit will forever remain a part of the lives he touched, and his influence will endure in the countless memories shared by those who loved him.

Tavish was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon Crutcher.

Survivors include his parents, Charlie and Jeff Crutcher of Moorman; his grandparents, Brenda and Edward Geary of Moorman and Margie Crutcher of Bremen; a sister, Brittany Crutcher of Central City; two nephews, Malachi Mathis and Canyon Bivins; and a niece, Charlee Crutcher.

Tavish Blaine Crutcher’s life will be celebrated in a service that reflects the joy he brought into the world.  His family takes comfort in knowing that Tavish’s journey was filled with love and that his memory will be cherished forever.  Private family services will be held at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  There will be no public visitation.
