CENTRAL CITY – Phyllis A. Doss, 72, of Central City, died Friday, May 3, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born August 21, 1951, in Greenville, she was Dietary Manager at Sparks Nursing Home, and a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She loved UK basketball, and was active in church and loved her church family. Her grandchildren were her entire world, and she loved, adored, and cared for them deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd Andrew and Mary Joyce Williams; brother, Ronnie Williams; and sister, Linda Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby W. Doss; daughter, Malinda (Tim) Hale of Central City; son, Chris (Brandy Garcia) Doss of Central City; grandchildren, Eli Doss, Bailee (Josh) Scott, Macey Hale, Carter Hale, and Courtney Hale; and nephew, Brady Williams.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central City, with Rev. Mike Bourland officiating. Burial to follow.
