CENTRAL CITY – Marie Anita Smith Martin, 77, of Central City, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her residence. Born June 3, 1944, in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of New Emmanuel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pazella Saulsberry; and brother, James Saulsberry.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace Ray Martin, Sr.; sons Wallace Martin, Jr. and Randall Gene Martin, both of Central City; daughters Belinda Kay Martin of Las Vegas and Latoya Phelps of Madisonville; brother Arthur Saulsberry; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor Carmel Rich officiating, assisted by Rev. Otis Cunningham.
