CENTRAL CITY – John Arnold Chinn, 91, of Central City, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Born April 13, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was an electrical engineer with Sigma Instruments. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving four years in the Korean War. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henri and Monica Chinn.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Carol Hughes Chinn; daughter Katy Zero; brother David Chinn; and sister Joyce Cormeir.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
