Jewell “Ebbie” Edward Wood

DRAKESBORO – Jewell “Ebbie” Edward Wood., 73, of Drakesboro, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 4:05 p.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.  Born September 20, 1949, in Muhlenberg County, he was a retired coal miner, attended Belton Beechmont Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Anna Wood; daughter, Penny Ellen Wood; and brother, Roger Wood.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Miller Wood; children, Connie (Mark) Edge and Tim Wood; five granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Wood, Jimmy Wood, Gerald Wood, and Robert Wood; and sister, Shirley Saddler.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Allen officiating, assisted by Bro. Danny Miller.  Visitation will be Sunday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
