Gerald Waymon Cartwright, 77 of Bowling Green, KY, (formerly of Beechmont, KY) passed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born November 9, 1946, he was retired from General Electric in Madisonville after 19 years and was formerly a welder and foreman at various coal mines in Muhlenberg County. He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Michelle Cartwright and his parents James William Cartwright and Mary Orange Cartwright.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Wanda Elaine Cartwright,; daughter Erica (Dewayne) McDonald of Bowling Green; son Ryan (Chris) Cartwright of Perry Park, KY.; two granddaughters Makenzie McDonald and Cassidie (Devon) Amsler; two sisters Brenda (Bobby) Fleming, and Jo (Jay) Cooper; brother Jim Cartwright, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen a private viewing and then he will be laid to rest at Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton, KY.
