CENTRAL CITY – Melissa Marie House, 47, of Central City, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born August 5, 1974, in Muhlenberg County, she was a homemaker at the time of her death. Melissa enjoyed a career working as an EMT for Todd County EMS. She then came back to Central City to work as an Administrative Officer for the Central City Police Department while serving as a volunteer firefighter for Central City. Melissa went back to school and became a surgical tech with an associates degree in applied science. She was a member of Church Street General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Claudett Anderson; and brothers Henry Alan Anderson and Christopher Lynn Anderson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 26 years, Norman House; son, Preston (Sarah) House of Central City; daughters, Bethanie House (Wade Felde) of Browder, Shyleigh House of Central City, Angel (Jarrod) Franklin of Greenville, and Tosha (Darrell) Smith of Central City; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery, with Bro. Danny Greene officiating, assisted by Bro. Robert Pierce. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
