Lorene E. Jenkins, 80 of Rochester, passed away Monday June 14, 2021 at the Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenville. Born September 5, 1940 in West Virginia to the late Zeremba and Virginia Pierce Baker. She was of the Pentecostal faith, a homemaker and she enjoyed going to yard sales and Flea Markets. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Gilson; brother Eugene Baker; sister Bernice Starcher and step-son Monty Jenkins.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years Jerry Jenkins of Rochester; children Billy (Barb) Dunning of Cadiz and Lora Jean Stanley of Franklin; step-son Joel Jenkins of Bowling Green; sister Frances (Bob) Stockman of Zionville, N.C.; brothers Zeremba “Jack” (Pam) Baker of Greenville and Joe (Janice) Baker of Hampton, Va.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday June 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Roger Heltsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday June 16, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
