Larry Lee ( LB) Bard, 73, of Greenville, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his residence. Born December 22, 1947 the Muhlenberg County native was a member formerly of New Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Depoy. He was employed by Peabody Coal Mines and Cal-Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Bard and Jessie L. Bard; wife, JoAnn Bard; five brothers, Warren Bard, John Richard Bard, Russell Bard, Clarence Bard, Claude Bard and Roger Bard and two sisters, Imogene Phipps and Elaine Goins.
Survivors include one son; Shawn Bard of Depoy; three daughters, Katrina Harrison of Madisonville, Joy (T.J.) Hampton of Depoy and Ebony Bard of Central City; several grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Phyllis Boyd of Greenville and Rita Tidwell of Depoy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, at 12 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. John Lee III past of First Missionary Baptist presiding over Committal and Interment services. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -12 p.m. at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow in Old Unity Cemetery in Graham.
Family and friends attending the visitation or funeral service shall be within current health and safety directives/guidelines.
