GREENVILLE— June DeArmond, 95, of Greenville passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. Born November 26th, 1928 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of the late Clyde and Bernie Jones. She enjoyed to sew, quilt, and bake in her free time. She loved the Lord and spending time with her family. She retired from the Muhlenberg County Board of Education after 27 years. She was also a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles DeArmond; two brothers Rollie Jones and Tom Jones; one sister Bettye Wilson; one son-in-law Steve McIntosh, and one daughter-in-law Wanda DeArmond.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Matthew McIntosh officiating, assisted by Rev. E.W. Greenwalt and Bro. Clifford Lovell. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
Survivors include her one daughter, Joyce McIntosh of Greenville; one son, Michael DeArmond of Greenville; four grandsons, Nickolas (Lillith) McIntosh, Jimmy (Shannon) DeArmond, Jonathan (Karen) McIntosh and Matthew McIntosh; six great-grandchildren, Allie DeArmond, Callie DeArmond, Brooklyn Utley, Hadley McIntosh, Livy McIntosh,and Ayden Stark; one great-great grandson, Baylee Traxler and one brother, Wayne Jones of Owensboro.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville. In memory of June, donations can be made to Heartford House, in care of Hospice of Western Kentucky, at 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, Ky. 42301 or The Alzheimer’s Association. There will be envelopes available at Gary’s Funeral Home.
