CENTERTOWN – Josephine Ellis Roe, 99, of Centertown died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 8:43 a.m. at her residence. Born December 30, 1923 in Sacramento, she graduated from Sacramento High School and during WWII she riveted Naval plane wings and later worked at GE. Primarily she was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Centertown United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Curtis Roe; one infant son Warren Curtis Roe, Jr.; parents Floyd and Margie Ellis; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her two sons Wallace Ellis Roe of Bloomington, Ind. and Joseph Michael Roe of Centertown; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Mike Atkins officiating and Bro. Charlie Taylor assisting.
