Central City- John Wiley Agnew, Jr., 57,died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Born September 2, 1965 in Nashville, he was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carrie Agnew; two sisters, Debra Hastings and Jane Agnew. He was a member of the New Immanuel, ACOTLG Church, in Central City and worked in the service industry as a culinary preparer.
Survivors include a son Cedrick Owens, of Nashville,; grandchildren Cedrick Owens and Harlee Owens both of Nashville; sisters, Barbara Tubbs of Old Hickory, Tenn., Carrie Branch of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and Robbie Saulsberry of Central City; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at New Immanuel, ACOTLG Church, 211 N. 2nd Street in Central City with Bishop Jennifer Carney, Officiating/Eulogist. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.
