CENTRAL CITY – Geraldine Smith, 73, of Central City, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born November 7, 1949, in Evansville, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Virginia Ray King; husbands, Jessey Robert Mofield, Phillip Wayne Flener, and John Walton Smith; and son, John Walton Smith, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Jessey Mofield of Evansville, Robert Mofield of Evansville, Charline Stanley of Central City, Darlene Bullock of Central City, Ed Mofield of Boonville, Ind., Stacy Flener of Paducah, Dalleta Cato of Livermore, and Shellina Geary of Greenville; 45 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a close cousin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
