Mary Geneva Sumner Bilbrey, 85 of Greenville, formerly of Russellville, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville. Born November 30, 1937, the daughter of the late James Carl Sumner and the late Carrie Pauline Hardison Sumner. She was the wife of the late Otis J. Bilbrey. She was an assembly line worker at Rockwell and a member of Crittenden Drive Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by brothers Wilburn Sumner and Robert Sumner.
Survivors include his three daughters Darlene (Rick) Heflin of Auburn, Freda (Mark) Pogue of Greenville, Fadocia (Steve) Hall of Ashland City, Tenn.; stepson Jeffrey Bilbrey of San Francisco, Calif.; brother Eldred Sumner of Lewisburg; four grandsons Jason Heflin, Jarrick Heflin, Alex Pogue, Ezekiel Hall; three granddaughters Marla Divine, Karrie Webb, Shandiece Heflin; twelve great grandchildren Kinsey, Dixon, Kelsey, Carolyn, Harper, Silas, Graysen, Nolen, Hayes, Lucian, Jocelyn, and another on the way.
Funeral service will be Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg; with Steve and Fadocia Hall Officiating. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers will be Ezekiel Hall, Jason Heflin, Jarrick Heflin, Alex Pogue, Brandon Divine, and Dixon Nash.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Melanie Cook who made more independent living possible, they would like to give their gratitude to the caregivers of Maple Health and Rehab and the Courtyard, and they would like to extend another special thanks to Nancy Powell, owner of the Bethel Dipper, for all the strawberry milkshakes.
