MADISONVILLE, Ky. (March 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Department of Transportation (KYTC) announces the emergency closure of KY 2270 West between mile points 5.6 and 5.7, effective immediately. This closure is in response to a significant landslide that caused large breaks in the pavement.
The duration of the closure is currently unknown. However, it is anticipated to last several weeks as efforts are made to stabilize the area and repair the roadway.
Motorists should plan detour routes and exercise caution near the closure.
