CENTRAL CITY – David Wayne Smith, 57, of Central City, died Monday, August 30, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Born July 12, 1964, in McLean County. He was custodian supervisor at Bremen Elementary School. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tesla Green; and parents David and Cleta Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; daughters Amy Garrett and Hannah Green; three grandchildren; sisters Anita Smith and Kathy Smith.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial will follow in Gish Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that only immediate family attend the visitation and funeral.
