GREENVILLE – Alphonso Clifford Stephens, 75, of Greenville, died Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his residence in Greenville. Born August 28, 1948 in Nyack, N.Y., he worked for TVA for 35 years as an Ast Unit Operator. He enjoyed radio-controlled airplanes, and was a lover of cats. He was a basketball star in high school and college. He never met a stranger. He was big-hearted and always ready to help anyone. The Lord was his pilot in life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel, and Henrietta Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Walker Stephens.
Memorial Services will be Friday April 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Elder Charles Bard officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuenralhomes.com.
