Greenville – Tonia Lou Bard, 52 passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born July 26, 1969 in Greenville, she was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, 209 Oak Street in Greenville. She served on the Kitchen Committee, Usher Board, Matrons Committee, member of the Choir, Circle No. 5 and the Community BAAM Choir. She worked in production at the Opportunity Center in Greenville and loved UK Basketball. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas O’neal Bard, Sr. and brother, T.J. Bard.
Tonia loved being around family, people and singing in the choir. She never met a stranger and believed in the power of prayer. Tonia was the life of the party.
Survivors include her loving mother, Sharon Bard, Greenville; daughter, Jessica Nicole ( Patrick) Cobb of Greenville; brother, Ryan Lovell (Stephanie) Bard of Louisville; twin sister, Sonia Sue ( Russell) Conner of Greenville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
Services will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery, Greenville. Rev. Terrence Minor, Eulogist and Rev. John Lee III will be officiating. Bibbs Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
