Ruby Mae Smith

BELTON – Ruby Mae Smith, 85, of Drakesboro, died Wednesday, August, 10, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Ill. Born March 7, 1937 in Muhlenberg County, she was a homemaker and a member of Paradise Church in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dickie) Smith; parents, Herbert and Frances Lear; sisters, Martha Blass, Joyce Winn, and Flowel King; and brothers, Donald Ray Lear, Jimmy Lear, and Robert Lear.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Mike) Mallory of Christopher, Ill.; son, Bill (Angela) Smith of Belton; grandchildren, Allison Mallory of Murphysboro, Ill., Josh (Carrie) Smith of Drakesboro, Mark (Heidi) Mallory of Maury, Ky., Keith (Katlynn) Smith of Gallatin, Tenn., Jenna Smith of Bowling Green, Nikole Mallory of West Frankfort, Ill.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Todd Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Smith-Yonts-Nourse Cemetery in Drakesboro. Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
