GREENVILLE – Opal Lee Woodruff, 85, of Greenville, died on Sunday, April 14 at her residence. Born in Bremen on November 22, 1938, the daughter of Ecklas Harper and Plinie Cobb Harper. She was a homemaker and a member of New Paradise Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Woodruff, her parents, and 11 brothers and sisters
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, conducted by Rev. Tim Adcock, assisted by Rev. Roger Heltsley. A private burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
Survivors include her son, James Woodruff of Greenville; a daughter, Kim Amos of Pleasant View, Tenn.; three grandchildren two sisters, Connie Cornette of Cocoa, Fla., and Ruth (Bobby) Rust of Rosewood; One brother, Ray Harper of Bremen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (time of funeral) at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
