CENTRAL CITY – Nora Kathleen Stevens Suffill Miller, 105, of Louisville, formerly of Central City, died Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Altenheim Nursing Facility in Louisville. Born December 23, 1915, in Muhlenberg County to Oscar and Nancy Elizabeth Epley Stevens. She was a graduate of Drakesboro High School and a long-time member of Drakesboro United Methodist Church. She was well known as manager of the women’s and children’s department of Central City’s Charles Store. Her trips to New York to buy merchandise were followed up by fashion shows she produced with local models. She was preceeded in death by siblings Floyd, Carl, Grace, Jesse, and Eugene; and by spouses Robert Emmett Suffill and Gilbert Lewis Miller.
Survivors include her son, William Robert “Bob”(Margaret) Suffill of Louisville; grandchildren Andrea Suffill (Gregg) Weaver of Louisville and John Lawrence Suffill of Rome, Ga.; great-granddaughters Iris Weaver and Elizabeth Suffill; sister, Elizabeth Ann Quarles of Hopkinsville and beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, with Rev. David Fuller officiating. Nora Kathleen’s family will appreciate written remembrances of her, addressed to Tucker Funeral Home.
