John Phil Walker, 84, of Dawson Springs, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Tennova Hospital in Clarksville of natural causes. Born March 13, 1937, in Todd County, the son of the late L.J. “Jake” and Pauline Pepper Walker. He worked for General Steel in sales, and was a retired farmer. He was a past member of the Eagles Club in Hopkinsville. He was a veteran in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Hall Walker; second wife, Pearlie Blanton Walker; and daughter, Melisa Jayne Walker.
Survivors include his son, John P. Walker, Jr. of Franklin, Tenn.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Private Graveside Services will be at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Dawson Springs Tornado Rescue c/o American Red Cross or any animal rescue.
