GREENVILLE – Janice Mae Weatherford Dukes, 64, of Greenville, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born July 5, 1957, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of Lone Star General Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family, cleaning, reading, and helping others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dukes; sister Barbara Lear; step-daughter Carolyn Dukes; step-sons Michael Dukes and Jeffery Dukes; and parents Estil and Mable Weatherford.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Dillon) Cihak; sons Marvin Dukes II and Preston Dukes; grandchildren Darien Cihak, Trynity Dukes, Jesse Dukes, Dustin Willoughby, Megan Newman, Nikki Lovell, Morgan Millar, and Tiffany Bratcher; and step-daughter Patricia Dukes.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Lone Star General Baptist Church in Greenville, with Bro. Tony Shanks officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City and Saturday after 9:00 a.m. at Lone Star General Baptist Church.
