PLYMOUTH, CALIF. – James I. “Jim Ike” Bullock of Plymouth, Calif. died Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was the second son of Dwight and Loga Bullock of Moorman and brother to Billy D. Bullock and Mary Dallas Stevenson. All now rest in peace at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Moorman.
Born March 6, 1935, he resided in the Moorman area until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1953. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975 as a Chief Boiler Technician and built his home in the Shenandoah Valley of Calif. with his wife, Mary Durrant Bullock.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion Post 108. He remained a faithful fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs since his early years listening to their games on the radio at Jack Dunlap’s store in Moorman. He will be missed.
Graveside funeral services will be Friday, October 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery, with Rev. Wes Davenport officiating. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
