James A Whitaker, 100, of Lewisburg died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Creekwood Place in Russellville. Born May 16, 1921 in Brownsville, Muhlenberg County, Ky., the son of the late James Whitaker and the late Linnie Hope Whitaker. He was the husband of the late Marcie Hudnall Whitaker. He was a retired order picker for General Motors and he honorably served his country in the US Army, serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by sons, Terry Wayne Whitaker and Jimmy Lee Whitaker; brother, Alfred Whitaker.
Survivors include his brother, Harold Gene Whitaker of Bland, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Bro. Larry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Hortons Chapel Cemetery in Belton.The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
