POWDERLY- Etta Jane “Cookie” Hocker died Friday, January 19, 2024 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born August 27, 1962 in Henderson, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Lorene and Ray Winford; husband Earl Hocker; sisters LueAnn McGuire, and Thelma Floyd; brothers Curtis Fletcher, andRoy W. Fortune.
Survivors include her daughters Etta Avolio of Greenville, Sierra Hocker of Greenville, and Vickie Greenwell of Louisville; sons David Hocker of Drakesboro, Tony Fortune of Oak Grove, Jermaine Fortune of Powderly, and Michael Hocker of Texas; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; brothers Roy Fortune, Jr., and Erbin Fortune; sisters Esther Brown, Norma Sutton, Kathleen Fortune, and Pamela Fortune; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Ricky T. Hill officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery in Greenville.
