CLEATON – Earlene Bard Williams, 89, of Cleaton, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Maple Manor Health and Rehabilitation in Greenville and was born November 14, 1934.
She served faithfully at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Cleaton where she servied in a multitude of positions to include Pastor’s Aides Board, Mother’s Aide Board, President of the Missionary Board, and President of the Usher’s Board. She also was a mother of the church.
She also held the position of Muhlenberg County Deputy at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center in Greenville, Democratic Executive Board Committee Member and Worthy Matron of the Magnolia Chapter 84 of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Bard, Sr. and Thomas Williams; father, Roosevelt Reed; mother, Lucille Green.
Survivors include her three sons, Paul (Sharon) Parker and Johnny (Ramona) Bard both of Cleaton, Cecil (Deborah) Bard of Greenville; four daughters, Mary Miles of Louisville, Martha Hawkins of Tucson, Ariz., Jackie Bard of Central City and Grace (Gorden) Evans of Polk City, Fla.; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Willie Parker of Cleaton, and David Reed of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Georgia Walton of Greenville, Rosemary Reed, Marie Thornhill, and Linda Gantt all of Lorraine, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 1:00 p.m., at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Cleaton, KY. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the church. Burial will be in West End Cemetery, Greenville, KY. Rev. Jerrell M. Clark, Officiating and Rev. Reginald Elliott, Eulogist.
