GREENVILLE – Earl “EJ” Jr. Dukes, 85, of Greenville, died Wednesday, Jun 16, 2021 at Maple Health in Greenville.  Born March 20, 1936 in Greenville, he was a dozer operator and member of Bards Hill Baptist Church. He was a simple hard-working man that adored his family. Enjoyed time spent working on his farm.  Favorite past time was watching old westerns or sitting on the front porch with his wife Sue of 29 years who preceded him in death.   He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Fay Dukes; parents Earl and Erma Dukes and son-in-law Phillip Thomas Ramsey.

Survivors include his children Donald Wayneman (Kayla Evitts) Sims of Greenville; Rita Ramsey of Madisonville and Angela (Kenny Wood) Gossett of Greenville; grandchildren John Michael (Megan) Culbertson of Powderly, Joseph Scott (Lauren) Culbertson of Madisonville, Dee (Monica) Sims of Drakesboro, Leighann (Chris) Kirk and Brittany Sims of Alabama; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  at Tucker Funeral Home, 113 N. Third St., Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.  Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2021 after 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
