MADISONVILLE – Betty Jo Skimehorn, 94, of Central City changed her address to heaven on Monday, May, 29, 2023 rejoicing her life with her husband Rondle. Born June 13, 1928 in Muhlenberg County to Hollis and Cora Slaughter. She grew up on a farm on the Green River in McLean County. She was a member of Central City First Baptist Church and Adult Sunday School Class since March 29, 1957.
Survivors include her son, Roger (Elaine) Skimehorn of Madisonville; daughter, Darlene (Ronnie)Gossett of Central City; two grandchildren, Ryan (Frosty) Skimehorn and Ronda (James) Brooks; and two great-grandchildren, Alex Brooks and Jacob Brooks.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Dr. Chase Thompson officiating, and Rev. Kevin Reed assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
