Lanny Carver, 67 of Olmstead, Ky. passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville. Born September 11, 1953 in Greenville, to the late Russell Elwood Carver and Jo Nell Pentecost Carver. He worked for Logan Memorial Hospital and Northcrest Hospital and was a member of Dripping Spring Baptist Church. He coached softball and youth baseball. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Trent Wyatt Carver.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty Carver; son, Keith (Michelle) Carver of Bowling Green; daughter, Amanda Carver Slate of Olmstead, KY; sisters, Phyllis (Jarvis) Morrow of Henderson and Karen Carver Jernigan of Greenville, grandchildren, Lily Kate Carver, Sage (Morgan) Robinson, Trenton Bailey (Aleigha) Williamson, Logan Jade Williamson and Fallon Faith Slate; great grandchildren, Kevin Rowdy Robinson and River Dale Williamson; several nieces and nephews.
Per Lanny Carver’s request, cremation was chosen and the family will have a Celebration of Life for Lanny Carver Friday, July 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Summers and Son Funeral Home in Russellville with Bro. Mike Stacey officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m.
