GREENVILLE – Wilma Jean Blackburn Wines, 95, of Greenville died Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Born July 29, 1930 in Muhlenberg County. She was a graduate of Drakesboro High School and Bowling Green School of Cosmetology. After owning and operating her own business for 30 years, she became state inspector for the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology. She was a faithful member of Greenville First Baptist Church for over 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Iley Golman Wines, her parents Edward Holland Blackburn and Mary Mercer Blackburn, and a sister, Edna Louise Hatcher.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Wines (J.R.) Whitehead and Cindy Wines (Lanney) Meredith; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne (David) Barber and Charles Logan Meredith; one great grandchild, Brooks William Barber; sister, Lois Slinker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home.
