GREENVILLE – William Forrest “Hop Along” “Hoppie” Browning, 70, of Greenville, died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 9:48 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Born June 17, 1954 in Greenville. He was a member of Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church, he worked as a Truck Driver for Powell Trucking for 32 years, and he loved watching his Wildcats. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Wanda Browning; and brother, James Browning.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha Browning; son, Charles (Jenny) Browning; daughter, Tracey Browning; grandchildren, Chris (Whitney) Browning, and Jacob Browning; great-grandchild, Bentley Browning; and sister, Barbara “Sissy” (Sonny) Rose.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Royce Dukes officiating. Burial in Cave Springs Cemetery.
