BEECH CREEK – William Dale “Billy Buck” Buchanan, 74, of Beech Creek, died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:15 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born October 5, 1949 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Belton Beechmont General Baptist Church, and worked as a Truck Driver for JNH and Special Mine Services. He loved horses and race cars. If he was not talking about one, he was talking about the other. He loved his friends well and enjoyed time with his buddies at the Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Toonie Buchanan.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Penrod Buchanan; sons, Matt Buchanan of Providence, Kevin (Ashley) Mayes of Lafayette, La., and Kris Mayes of Henderson; brother, Claude (Martha) Roberson; and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Belton Beechmont General Baptist Church in Beechmont.
