Wayne Anderson, 80 of Hendersonville, Tenn. passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Born April 28, 1943, the son of the late Robert Anderson and the late Sarah Piper Anderson. He was the husband of Betty Anderson who survives. He was a Master Electrician for Gibraltar Coal Company and a member of Dumnor Baptist Church. Wayne was a HAM radio operator with the handle KM4ZU. He was also a member of UMWA Local 1092.
Survivors include his wife Betty Anderson; two daughters, Kathy Johnson (Jeff) of Newburgh, Ind. and Lisa Mefford (Doug) of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Payton Erk (Andy) of Nashville, and Piper Carr (Hunter) of Evansville, Ind.; three grandsons, Derek Mefford (Callie) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Lance Mefford of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Jacob Johnson (Erica) of Carmel, Ind.; great-granddaughter, Mallory Louise Johnson of Carmel, Ind.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg. Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
