POWDERLY – Wanda Lee Edwards, 91, of Powderly, passed away Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at her residence. Born in Muhlenberg County July 9, 1934, the daughter of Lonnie Jewell Moore and Lillie D. Durall Moore. She was a member at Mercer Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors whether fishing, dancing, or simply enjoying the outdoors. She was an avid piano player and remained active throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hildred Edwards, two sons, Doug Edwards and Jeff Wilkins, as well as five sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Old Bethel Cemetery in Greenville. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, David Edwards of Powderly; two daughters, Teresa Faye Puryear of Greenville and Tracey (Steve) Kulijof of Greenville; one sister, Patsy Finley of Mo.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
