DRAKESBORO – Wanda June Steele, 82, of Drakesboro, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 12:52 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born September 12, 1942, in Muhlenberg County. She was retired from Uncle Lee’s, and was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, watching Andy Griffith, and making homemade quilts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Wilson Steele; parents, Claude and Annie Wherry; and sisters, Verda Mae Durall, Louise Chapman, Margie Ray, and Dorthy Pendley.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Steele (Jerry Beeler); sons, Danny (Regina) Steele and Darren (Jessica) Steele; grandchildren, Dana Drake, Jessica (Anthony) Latham, Tiffany (Daniel) Nokes, Brandon Steele, Gerina Steele (Dustin Beatty), and Payton Caldwell; and great-grandchildren, Treyson, Alexus, Logan, Austin, Riely, Alivia, Haleigh, Keith, William, Lexi, Landon, Tyler, Hadlee, Hunter, Raydan, and Rylan.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Drakesboro.
